The the first image was taken at the KZN SA gallery by me. The reason behind me taking the picture was me noticing how the hat resonates or seems to take the inspiration from iqhugwane ( Hut). Back in the day iqhugwane was used by most african tribes as shelter. In now days iqhugwane has shifted from being used as shelter to now as an ancestral house were impepho is burnt and is called umsamo (a sacred place inside a traditional zulu hut were it is believed to be the place were the ancestral spirits reside).
