In the contemporary context I will analyse the role of an engagement ring as a modern status symbol, the significance of the medical insignia in the medical establishment.

Social status may also refer to a rank or position that one holds in a group, in society. by examining the markers that makes them different from others or placing in a group which makes the observer to gain insight to their social status
